In Corry, our partners at Channel 98.9 will welcome the New Year with its annual Top 98 of 2025 countdown. The program begins at midnight on New Year’s Eve and will repeat throughout New Year’s Day. The countdown features the most requested modern rock songs of the year, based entirely on listener feedback from the Corry area.

Artists in contention for the top spot include national acts such as Green Day, Dexter and the Moonrocks, and Evanescence, along with several regional musicians, including Isolation Forest, Slim and Red, Markus Lambert, Blissen, Andrew Slater, and Daughters of Thunder.

The Channel 98.9 countdown is supported by Corry Federal Credit Union, Corry Central Labor Club, Dynasty Construction, Corry Moose Lodge 98, and Corry Hometown Rent to Own. Listeners can tune in on 98.9 FM or listen online.

Meanwhile, at Canadohta Lake, Sunny 105.7 will present Rock and Roll Heaven 2025, a three-hour tribute honoring legendary artists who passed away during the year. Hosted by Mark Stafford, the program will feature music from artists including Connie Francis, Ace Frehley, Sly Stone, Brian Wilson, Chuck Mangione, Ozzy Osbourne, and others.
