The Erie Otters continued their homestand Saturday with an emotional night at the Erie Insurance Arena, honoring late owner Jim Waters, and responded with a 3-1 win over the North Bay Battalion.
After a scoreless first period highlighted by strong goaltending and a penalty-shot save by Erie’s Noah Erliden, the Otters opened the scoring in the second on a goal by Dylan Edwards. North Bay answered with a short-handed goal, sending the game into the third tied 1-1.
Erie broke the deadlock late in the final period when Gabriel Frasca scored on the power play, then added an empty-net goal to seal the win. The Otters outshot North Bay 33-30.
Erie returns to action Friday for 3-2-1 Friday against the Sarnia Sting. Tickets and information are available at Ottershockey.com.
