Corry Police responded to two separate vehicle incidents on North Center Street on October 2, with one leading to DUI charges and another resulting in minor property damage.
The first incident occurred at approximately 4:44 p.m. in the 800 block of North Center Street, where police responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck a tree. According to police, the driver, identified as 63-year-old Kevin Gustafson, was attended to by members of the Fire Department upon arrival. Through investigations and lab test results, Gustafson was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Careless Driving. He will answer the charges at a later date before Magisterial District Judge Denise Buell.
Just minutes earlier, at 4:34 p.m., police and fire crews were dispatched to the 100 block of North Center Street after a parked vehicle rolled into a building. The operator, 59-year-old Charles Gray, told officers the vehicle had not been in park. No injuries were reported, and the incident caused only minor cosmetic damage to the vehicle and no damage to the building. No charges were reported in that case.
