Local communities are gearing up for a full lineup of Halloween fun, with family-friendly activities and spooky attractions set for late October.
In Bloomfield Township, the Recreational Board is hosting a Pumpkin Hunt on Saturday, October 25, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Bloomfield Township Building, 22978 Shreve Ridge Road, Canadohta Lake. Families can join in the seasonal fun as they search for hidden pumpkins and enjoy the autumn evening together.
Union City will celebrate on Friday, October 31, with its annual Treats in the Streets and costume contest kicking off at 5 p.m. at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home, 62 S. Main Street. Children in costume will parade along Main and High Streets, ending at St. Teresa Social Hall by 5:30 p.m. Local businesses will be stationed along South Main Street to hand out treats, and the costume contest begins at 5:30 p.m. Trick-or-treating runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Spartansburg is offering multiple opportunities for Halloween thrills. The Haunted Grange, located at 242 Main Street, will be open October 24 and 25 from 7 to 9:30 p.m., and again on October 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is free, with donations accepted. Visitors can expect spooky fun, snacks, music, costumes, and games.
The Spartansburg Events Pumpkin Walk of Hope will take place on October 25th from 4 to 9 p.m. on the Spartansburg Bike Trail. The walk will feature glowing pumpkins and aims to raise suicide awareness while providing a supportive, family-friendly evening.
On Halloween night, the Spartansburg Community Foundation will host a Halloween Party at the Spartansburg Fire Hall, 330 Main Street, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., following town trick-or-treating from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
In the Corry area, trick or treating is 6 to 8 p.m. on Halloween.
