Pair Arrested for Public Drunkenness in Corry

Two women were taken into custody for public drunkenness following an early morning disturbance at Crosby’s on East Main Street, according to the Corry Police Department.

The incident occurred on Thursday, September 12, 2025, at approximately 6:48 a.m. Officers were dispatched to Crosby’s at 247 E. Main St. after receiving reports of two women causing a disturbance inside the store.

Upon arrival, police located Jasmine Smith, 32, near the storage units outside the business. Smith was described as visibly intoxicated and unsteady on her feet. Officers took her into custody at the scene.

A short time later, officers located a second individual, identified as Samantha Rawls, 35, partially inside a dumpster along East Main Street. Rawls was also reportedly intoxicated, slurring her speech and unable to stand steadily. She was taken into custody shortly afterward.

Both women were transported to the Corry Police Department and held until sober.
