Pennsylvania State Police in Corry are investigating a string of recent thefts and burglaries in Concord Township, all occurring along Stewart Road during the first week of September.
On September 2, troopers responded to a report of a burglary where an unknown suspect entered a garage sometime between August 29 and September 2. Multiple tools were stolen before the suspect fled the scene. The victims were a 49-year-old man from Spartansburg and a 50-year-old woman from Corry.
Later that same day, police were called to another residence on Stewart Road for a theft from a motor vehicle. A suspect took several items from a parked 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck, including two DeWalt drills with batteries, a DeWalt corded Sawzall, a Husky socket set with ratchets, and a brown leather tool bag. The total value of the stolen property was estimated at $800.
The following morning, September 3, troopers were again dispatched to Stewart Road for another garage burglary. The suspect forced entry into the garage of a 59-year-old Corry man and stole numerous tools, including multiple DeWalt drills and batteries, a propane torch, angle grinder, folding knife, hatchet, Sawzall with blades, and tool bags. The total loss was estimated at over $300.
