Pennsylvania State Police in Corry are investigating two recent property crimes in Wayne Township, Erie County.
On August 24, troopers responded to a burglary at a residence along Route 6. According to police, the home—occupied by a 78-year-old woman from Pittsfield and a 77-year-old man from Corry—was broken into for the second time that day. The burglary occurred between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., with entry made through the back door. Various items were reported stolen.
Two days earlier, on August 22, troopers were called to West Washington Street Extension for a report of criminal mischief. Investigators say an unknown suspect forced entry into a 64-year-old Corry man’s barn, damaging a window valued at $150. Police believe the break-in occurred sometime between August 17 and August 22.
Both incidents remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Corry at 814-663-2043.
