Corry police have charged a man in connection with an assault that occurred on August 1st in the city.

According to the City of Corry Police Department, officers were called to the 200 block of Seminole Avenue at 5:49 p.m. for reports of an altercation. Investigators say a verbal dispute escalated when Scott Lindstrom Jr. struck Jon Slye in the face with a closed fist, causing injury.
Police located Lindstrom at his residence a short time later and took him into custody without incident. He was charged with simple assault based on injuries documented at the scene.
Lindstrom is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Buell at a later date.
