According to Pennsylvania State Police in Corry, the crash happened around 3:39 p.m. at the intersection of Route 8 and Park Avenue. Investigators say 28-year-old Lukas R. McLallen of Harrisville was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado northbound behind a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage driven by 18-year-old Ryan E. Robinson of Townville.

As Robinson began slowing to make a left turn onto Park Avenue, McLallen failed to notice and rear-ended the Mirage. The impact pushed Robinson’s vehicle about 150 feet before it came to rest on the southbound shoulder. McLallen’s truck stopped roughly 50 feet further ahead on the northbound shoulder.

Robinson was transported to Meadville Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. His 17-year-old passenger from Townville was not hurt. McLallen and his passenger, 24-year-old Kayla M. Clonch of Franklin, were also uninjured.

McLallen was cited for careless driving. Hydetown Fire Department and Emergycare EMS responded to the scene.
