Two motorists escaped injury after a tree fell onto Teepleville Flats Road during heavy fog conditions on the morning of July 11.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, a Ram pickup driven by Felix Cruz of Centerville was heading north when a tree suddenly dropped into the roadway. At the same time, a 2022 Chevrolet driven by Brendon Ace of Saegertown was approaching from the south.
Cruz struck the fallen tree despite attempting to avoid it. Ace had stopped his vehicle while trying to find a way around the obstruction. His car had to be towed from the scene, while the pickup suffered only minor damage.
Police said both drivers were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported.
