Maloney’s resignation letter, addressed to Mayor Michael Baker, is included on the agenda for the upcoming Corry City Council meeting scheduled for Monday, July 21. The agenda indicates that the letter will be formally received and filed during the session.

Maloney, who was elected to council in November 2023, expressed appreciation for the opportunities he had while serving the city. “Thank you again for the opportunity to have served the City of Corry,” he wrote. “Continued success in the future is desired for the city and its staff.”

Maloney’s departure marks a shift within the city’s leadership team. No immediate replacement or further comment has been announced by city officials.
