A 19-year-old Corry man is facing charges after fleeing police on an ATV and being found in possession of a controlled substance, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
Authorities say the incident began around 6:07 p.m. on May 16, when troopers with the Corry Crime Unit attempted a traffic stop near West High Street Extension and Still Road in Union Township, Erie County. The driver, later identified as Deacon Miles, fled the scene on a black Coleman all-terrain vehicle, prompting a short pursuit.
Police said the chase was quickly terminated for safety reasons, but Miles allegedly trespassed onto private property in the area. He was later located and taken into custody without further incident.
During the arrest, troopers discovered Miles was in possession of a controlled substance. He now faces multiple charges, including drug possession and related offenses. Charges have been filed through District Court 06-2-04.
The victim in the case was identified only as a 49-year-old man from Union City.
