A woman is facing multiple charges following a retail theft incident at the Walmart on East Columbus Avenue.
On April 27th, officers with the Corry City Police Department responded to a theft complaint at the store. The suspect, identified as Sharon Bickel, allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at $18.94.
During the investigation, Walmart’s Loss Prevention Officer confirmed that Bickel had previously been trespassed from all Walmart locations due to an earlier retail theft case. While being taken into custody, officers discovered methamphetamine in Bickel’s purse.
Bickel was transported to the police station and formally charged. She will appear before Magisterial District Judge Buell at a later date to answer to the charges.
