No serious injuries were reported in a house fire in Bloomfield Township on Monday night.
Several fire departments responded to the call around 10:15 p.m. at 34795 Mount Pleasant Road near Canadohta Lake.
Bloomfield Township Fire Chief Shawn Northrop told UCToday.org that upon arrival crews found the structure and neighboring garage engulfed in flames.
“The initial report was for a possible entrapment, but upon arrival firefighters learned all of the occupants made it out of the house safely, including one in a wheelchair,” said Northrop.
Fire crews battled the blaze for several hours. The buildings are considered total losses.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause.
Bloomfield Township was assisted at the scene by Spartansburg, Centerville, Townville, Union City and Mill Village fire departments.
Crews were back in service around 3 a.m. Tuesday.
