State Police report a number of traffic accidents due to slippery road conditions.
One sent a Corry woman to the hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries. Police report Karen Silvis, 82, of Corry was driving a vehicle on Route 6 in Freehold Township of Warren County on January 6th. The vehicle hit a guardrail, and an embankment and rolled over. Silvis was taken to the Corry Hospital. Clymer and Wrightsville firefighters assisted at the scene.
Several other drivers escaped serious injuries in separate incidents.
A vehicle operated by Brandon Rea, 26, of Titusville drove off the road on Route 8 in Centerville due to slippery roads and hit a stump on January 8.
Two vehicles collided on Turnpike Road in Wayne Township as a result of snow fall. A car driven by Noah Bailey, 18, of Corry struck a pickup operated by Todd Graves, 56, of Corry on January 2.
On Route 89 in Oil Creek Township a car driven by a 17 year-old from Centerville slid on the ice and struck a ditch on January 11. She was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
