The Winter Sports season is almost upon us again as the Union City Lady Bears Basketball team gears up for another season under fourth year head coach Matt Moon. The Lady Bears bring back a young but experienced team led by Seniors Cathryn Reynolds, Brookelyne Wienczkowski and Kaleigh Brenner, along with a lot of underclassmen talent. The Bears ended last season with a solid 10-11 record, while making their first playoff appearance in over a decade, falling to Lakeview in the first round. The Bears are looking to build off last season’s success and playoff experience to reach the next step in competing for a region title, as well as securing their first postseason win. The Lady Bears will tip off their season on Friday December 1-2, competing in the Warren Tip-Off Tournament.
