Union City property owners could see their property taxes go up with the 2024 budget. During borough council’s Nov. 6 meeting, council OK’d a proposed budget with a 1-mill increase, from 8.81 mills to 9.81 mills. Council approved advertising the proposed budget. A final budget must be adopted by Dec. 31.
Also during the meeting it was reported that the borough’s Pelican sweeper has been sold to Washington Township in New Jersey for $8,000.
