A Reverse Assessment was completed recently in Union City resulting in the adjustment of the assessed values of two recently transferred properties. Borough Manager Cindy Wells reported to council that one of the properties is the current Rite Aid site and the other was a private residence.  In February borough council approved the resolution which established an assessment appeals policy whereby properties transferred at a price which would result in at least an additional $500 in tax revenue will now have their values automatically appealed following the sale.  The specifics on the actual values were not readily available.
