39 year-old Julie Wegmiller was found dead in a pick up truck in Lawrence County near New Castle early Saturday morning. She was shot in the head and her death was ruled a homicide.
Wegmiller’s husband, 40 year-old Edwin Wegmiller Jr., was found outside the truck. He had been shot several times and airlifted to a hospital in Pittsburgh where he is listed in critical condition as of Sunday.
Police were sent to the scene to check a pick-up truck on a hill. A major crime unit was called-in when the victims were found.
