The undefeated Union City Bears (5-0) took on the Jamestown Muskies (2-5) in a non-region game on Thursday night. The Lady Bears would score the first six points of the opening set and not look back, winning the first set 25-12. The second set would be more even as the teams would trade the lead, the game would be tied at sixteen before the Muskies would pull away to take set two 25-20. The Lady Bears would never look back after taking an 8-1 lead to start the third set, as it was all Union City taking set number three 25-11. Onto the fourth set, tied at ten, the Bears would pull away to win 25-17 to take down the Muskies in four sets 3-1. The Lady Bears stay undefeated improving to 6-0, while the Muskies fall to 2-6 on the season. The Lady Bears will be back in action on Tuesday night in the Bears Den for a huge game, taking on the undefeated Corry Beavers (4-0) in the Route 6 Showdown for their first region game of the season.
