The Union City Bears were back on the football field on Saturday afternoon traveling to Hermitage to take on the Kennedy Catholic Golden Eagles.

The Bears would strike first early in the first quarter as Owen Kerns would reach the endzone on a one yard run, later in the quarter Daithin Kent would score on a 34 yard pass from Austin Sherwood and JJ Karmazin would give the Bears a three score lead on a 22 yard pass from Skylar Olmstead as the Bears would take a 19-0 lead into the second quarter. Owen Kerns would score his second touchdown of the game midway through the second quarter on a five yard run. Skylar Olmstead would increase the Bears lead with a pair of touchdown runs in the third quarter as the Bears would lead 42-18. Austin Brown would pick apart the Eagles defense scoring the final three touchdowns of the game for the Bears to seal the win, as the Bears would take down Kennedy Catholic 63-40 improving to 1-1 on the season. The Bears will be back home next Friday as they host the Eisenhower Knights.
