A National Letter of Intent (NLI) signing for Lucy Higley was held Sunday June 4th, 2023 in the Union City High School Learning Center. Higley has been leading the UC Lady Bears Softball team for the past four seasons. She is signing to play softball at PennWest Edinboro next year. She plans to study Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in a foreign language.

Higley said she chose PennWest Edinboro because the campus felt like home.
“I know that going here will challenge my athletic and academic abilities every day. Additionally, the coaches and the softball team were a perfect fit. I’m excited to become a Fighting Scot and to see what I can accomplish. Go Boro!” said Higley.
