Union City Police Chief David Pernice told UC Today his department’s 5th Annual Litter Pick-Up Day is scheduled for Saturday June 3rd from 10am – 1pm. starting at the city building at 13 S. Main St. Volunteers are needed to help clean up the borough. All of the tools for the job will be provided. There will also be water provided while you work and food following the event. Children are welcome with an adult.

The Union City Tire Recycling Event will be also be held June 3rd from 8am – 3pm at the borough garage, 35 Willow St. There is a limit of five tires and they must be removed from rims. This event is for Union City borough residents only; proof of residency is required.
