Union City Public Hearing March 13


Union City Borough Council will hold a public hearing on Monday March 13 at 5:30 PM to hear comments on the proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance concerning residential dumpsters. The language in the ordinance allows up to 8 yard dumpsters for single family dwellings and up to 10 yards for multi-family dwelling among other requirements.

Council’s regular meeting will follow with several votes being taken on ordinances including towing and impounding, street storage and waste dumpers and amendments to ordinance 1138 known as the garbage and recycling ordinance. Council meets at First United Methodist Church at 42 East High St. Monday’s meeting was rescheduled previously to March 13 so borough officials could attend the count Fire, EMS & Municipal Leadership Seminar on March 14.
