The Union City Bears traveled to Youngsville High School Wednesday night for their next to last game of the season. Josh James led the team with 13 points as the Bears powered past the Eagles 55-35 improving to 8-13 (4-7) on the season. The Bears will host the Maplewood Tigers Friday night in the Bears Den in their final game of the regular season. “A great team win for the bears Tonight. We spread the ball around great and got everybody involved offensively.” Coach Shawn Thompson told us after the game. “The team played great team defenses well. We have generally struggled down in Youngsville as it is a difficult place for us to play historically. It was nice to get out to a lead and play our style! With only one more game guaranteed this season, we are looking to have some fun and end on a high note.”
