The Union City Lady Bears took on the Youngsville Eagles on Thursday night in the Bears Den in what was their final home game of the season. In a game that was all Union City from the start, the Lady Bears showed their dominance over the Eagles, forcing turnovers which were converted into easy layups, as the Bears took down the Eagles 64-18 earning their second straight win, and improved to 11-9 (6-4) on the season..

The Lady Bears now have two games left, both on the road, as they travel to Cambridge Springs on Monday, and wrap up the regular season with a game at Rocky Grove on Thursday. “Great all-around team win tonight. We moved the ball well again, played good defense, and dominated the boards.” Coach Matt Moon stated following the big win. “It was a fun game for the girls and a great last home game for our seniors. We’re playing well right now and will look to keep that going as we finish out the regular season on the road. We head to Cambridge Springs Monday, so we’ll get back to work tomorrow to prepare for another big region game.”
