Erie County Executive Brenton Davis says he will do what he can to help communities deal with trash and garbage collections disrupted by the closing of Raccoon Refuse in Spartansburg. Davis says he is working with Union City and other communities to deal with the problem caused by the closure.
Raccoon Refuse served approximately 15,000 customers located in Erie, Crawford and Warren Counties. The customers included Union City and Summit Township. The Union City Borough Facebook page states that customers who paid Raccoon Refuse directly may not get a refund. Others who paid electronically could get a refund.
