Police in Corry and Union City reported separate incidents involving alleged physical assaults in the area.
Corry police said 46-year-old Melissa Eliason faces charges following an alleged assault on October 8 near Mead Avenue and West Washington Street. According to police, Eliason allegedly punched a person who was sitting in a vehicle after an argument. She reportedly left before officers arrived. A warrant was issued charging Eliason with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. She was later taken into custody and arraigned.
In Union City, police charged 25-year-old Tyler Smiley with harassment following a disturbance at an apartment at 13 ½ North Main Street on October 12. Police said officers responded at approximately 4:08 p.m. and determined a physical altercation had occurred between Smiley and a 47-year-old man. Police identified Smiley as the aggressor and charged him with harassment for allegedly shoving the other man.
