ERIE — The Erie County Department of Public Safety will conduct a countywide outdoor warning siren test at noon Thursday, October 15.

Residents may hear sirens activated in communities throughout the county during the scheduled test. Officials emphasize that the activation is part of a routine test and does not indicate an emergency.

The county conducts these tests quarterly in January, April, July and October to help ensure the outdoor warning siren system remains operational and ready for use during emergencies.
