
ERIE — The Erie County Department of Health will hold its second annual “Boo to the Flu” COVID-19 and flu vaccine event Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 3 to 5 p.m.
The event will be held at the Erie County Department of Health, 606 W. Second St. in Erie. It is open to the public, and no appointment is required.
LECOM health staff will administer flu vaccines and the updated COVID-19 vaccine. The flu vaccine is available for all ages, while the updated COVID-19 vaccine is available to people age 65 and older and those ages 12 to 64 with a qualifying medical condition, according to CDC guidelines.
People receiving vaccinations should bring a photo ID and health insurance card. Uninsured Erie County residents can receive free flu vaccines through the Erie County Department of Health.
Free COVID-19 and Flu A/B test kits will also be available. Each household member is eligible for one kit, while supplies last.
