UNION CITY — Union City Police have reported two recent drug-related arrests stemming from separate traffic stops.
Police said 35-year-old Elias Tillotson of Union City was stopped around 12:24 a.m. Sept. 26 on South Main Street for an equipment violation. Further investigation led to a search of the GMC pickup.
Police said they seized 17.06 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Tillotson was taken into custody and processed at the police station before being released. A felony count of possession with intent to deliver, along with misdemeanor drug possession and summary traffic offenses, was later filed.
An arrest warrant was subsequently obtained through District Judge Denise Buell’s office. On Sept. 29, police stopped the same GMC pickup while Tillotson was driving and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to Erie County Prison to await preliminary arraignment.
In a separate case, police stopped a truck on North Main Street Sept. 24 for several traffic violations. The passenger was identified as Eric L. Fahey, who was wanted on a felony arrest warrant from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office for possession with intent to deliver.
Fahey was taken into custody without incident. Police searched the vehicle and found a small amount of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Fahey was transported to Erie County Prison.
