Corry Man Charged in Burglary, Receiving Stolen Property Cases

CORRY — A Corry man is facing charges in two separate incidents involving a burglary and stolen property, according to Corry police.

Police said officers were dispatched to a reported burglary in progress around 12:35 a.m. Sept. 13 at 101 West Smith Street. The property owner was able to provide officers with security footage showing 35-year-old Phillip Troshkoske inside a garage.

Troshkoske was later located, interviewed and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, loitering and prowling at night, and theft by unlawful taking. He was arraigned and transported to Erie County Prison.

In a separate case, police followed up Sept. 16 on information concerning a recent theft at 112 East Smith Street. Officers received permission from the property owner to search the residence and located a chainsaw that had previously been reported stolen.

Troshkoske was found at the residence, taken into custody and transported to the police station for questioning and processing. He was subsequently arraigned and taken to Erie County Prison.
