Iroquois Pulls Away from Union City, 28-14

The Union City Bears fell to Iroquois 28-14 Friday night.

The teams were tied 7-7 after the opening quarter, with Union City finding the end zone once. Iroquois added a touchdown in the second quarter to take a 14-7 lead at halftime.

The Braves extended their advantage in the second half, scoring once in each of the final two quarters. Union City answered with a touchdown in the third quarter, but could not close the gap.

Individual statistics were not provided at press time.

The Bears will return home Friday when they host Saegertown. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
