Garland Fire Department Community Day and Chicken BBQ Set for September 12

The Garland Volunteer Fire Department is inviting the public to its Community Day and Open House on Saturday, September 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The event will feature a Chicken BBQ with a half chicken dinner including macaroni salad, baked beans, a roll, dessert, and a drink for $15. Chicken only is available for $9, with both dine-in and takeout options.
Community Day activities will include blood pressure screenings, fire prevention information, a vehicle extrication demonstration, Touch a Truck, kids’ games, child safety seat inspections, and displays highlighting the history of the Garland Fire Department and the Garland community.
