Spartansburg Community Fair Set for Sept. 6-12

SPARTANSBURG — The 2026 Spartansburg Community Fair will run Sunday, Sept. 6, through Saturday, Sept. 12, with a full schedule of livestock and agricultural events, competitions, entertainment, live music, carnival rides and special activities throughout the week.

The fair opens to the public at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, following the weekend exhibit drop-off and royalty pageant activities. The midway will be operated by TDK Rides and Concessions and will be available Monday through Saturday.

Admission and midway

General fair admission is $5 per day, while a weekly gate ticket is $15. Children age 10 and under are admitted free.

The carnival midway will have different Ride-A-Rama options during the week. From Tuesday through Friday, Ride-A-Rama bracelets will be available from 6 to 9:30 p.m. for $25. On Monday and Saturday, an all-day Ride-A-Rama bracelet will be available for $30, covering the 1 to 10 p.m. session, with a safety break from 5 to 6 p.m. A second session from 6 to 10 p.m. will cost $25.

Several events at the pulling track and demolition derby area require separate admission. Monday’s KOI Drag Racing has an additional $10 adult admission, with children 5 and under free. Wednesday’s Truck Pulls are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 through 10, while children 5 and under are free.

Saturday’s Demolition Derby is $15 for adults, with $25 pit passes available. Children 5 and under are admitted free to all track events.

Sunday begins fair week activities

Exhibits will be received Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Royalty Pageant is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the stage, followed by the Vesper Service at 7 p.m.

Monday features opening-day activities

Monday’s schedule begins with judging at 8 a.m., including the home show and rabbits. ATV Rodeo registration starts at 8 a.m., followed by the ATV Rodeo at 9 a.m.

Horse Pull weigh-ins begin at 10 a.m., with the Horse Pulls at 11 a.m. A children’s obstacle course will also be held at 11 a.m. at the gazebo.

The fair officially opens at 1 p.m., with the midway operating from 1 to 10 p.m.

Other Monday activities include the 5K Walk and Run at 4 p.m., draft horse judging and a Draft Versatility competition. The Kids’ Big Wheel Race is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., followed by the Baked Goods Auction at 5:30 p.m.

Bingo begins at 6 p.m., and KOI Drag Racing gets underway at 7 p.m. at the track.

Tuesday focuses on livestock and agriculture

Tuesday’s schedule includes cattle judging at 10 a.m., followed by riding horses, ponies, mules and miniature hitch classes at 1 p.m.

A Draft Obstacle Course is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Evening activities include the Football Throw at 6 p.m., sheep and wool judging, Bingo and the introduction of a new hands-on agricultural program called “Ag-Venture” at the stage.

Exhibitors’ Versatility begins at 7 p.m. in the Main Arena, while Dead Boat Tractor Pulls begin at 7 p.m. at the track.

The midway operates Tuesday from 6 to 9:30 p.m., with $25 Ride-A-Rama bracelets.

Wednesday brings music and truck pulls

Goat judging and a Goat Obstacle Course are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday. Draft Cart Classes begin at 4 p.m.

Evening activities include the Goat Dress-Up at the Goat Barn, Arcade Basketball Shoot at the Home Show, Bingo and parade entry registration.

Live music will be presented by Chris Higbee at 6 p.m. at the stage.

Truck Pull registration starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Truck Pulls at 7 p.m. at the pulling track. The truck pulls require additional admission.

The midway will operate from 6 to 9:30 p.m., with Ride-A-Rama bracelets priced at $25.

Thursday honors seniors and veterans

Thursday is Senior Citizen and Veteran Recognition Day, with free gate admission all day for senior citizens age 62 and older and veterans who present valid identification.

Activities begin at 11 a.m. Other events include antique tractor registration at 4:30 p.m., a Horse Costume Class at 5:30 p.m. and the Exhibitors’ Horse Show at 6 p.m.

Bingo, the Kids’ Tractor Pull and Ride-A-Rama also begin at 6 p.m.

Concord Station will perform live at 6 p.m. at the stage.

Antique Tractor Pulls begin at 7 p.m. at the pulling track.

Friday features woodsmen competition

Friday’s activities begin with an Antique Tractor Display at 9 a.m. at the ball field.

Antique tractor registration begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by Ride-A-Rama at 5 p.m.

The Woodsmen Contest begins at 6 p.m. at the arena, with registration starting at 5:30 p.m. Bingo is also scheduled for 6 p.m.

Take 5 will provide live music at 6 p.m. at the stage.

An Antique Tractor Pull begins at 7 p.m. at the pulling track.

Saturday brings the fair to a close

The final day begins with the annual parade at 11 a.m.

Saturday’s schedule includes an Ox Roast at 1 p.m. in the home show area, an antique tractor display at the ball field and Draft Hitch Classes at the arena.

The Aine Celtic Academy Irish Dancers will perform at 1 p.m. at the stage.

Ride-A-Rama begins at 1 p.m., with the all-day session running from 1 to 10 p.m. A safety break is scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. The all-day bracelet costs $30, while the 6 to 10 p.m. Session 2 bracelet costs $25. No separate Session 1 ride bands will be sold.

Parade winners will be posted at 4 p.m.

The Kids’ Power Wheels event begins at 5 p.m. at the Demo Arena, followed by the Demolition Derby at 5:30 p.m. The derby has a separate admission charge.

Cow Patty Bingo is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the arena, with additional Bingo at 3 and 6 p.m.

The Lemon Pie Eating Contest is scheduled for 8 p.m. near the stage.

Whiskey Jack will provide live music at the stage, with the schedule listing the band at 9 p.m. Saturday.

The fair concludes with fireworks at 11 p.m., followed by the closing of the fair.
