Union City Girls Golf Takes Third at Region 4 AA Mega Match

UNION CITY – The Union City girls golf team placed third out of six teams Thursday at the Region 4 AA Girls Golf Mega Match, hosted by Fort LeBoeuf at Mound Grove Golf Course.

The Bears finished with a combined team score of 321, earning four match points.

Emma Frank led Union City with a 91, finishing fourth overall in the individual standings. Brooke Erickson shot 110 and Allie Anderson carded a 120, with those three scores counting toward Union City’s team total.

Kyleigh McGuire and JayAnne Keister also competed for the Bears.

Fort LeBoeuf Wins Region 4 Match

Host Fort LeBoeuf dominated the team competition, finishing first with a 238. The Bison were led by Cassidy Conn, who posted a 72, while Laney Beers shot 86 and Erin DuShole finished with a 91. Aliviah Cuba added a 96.

Seneca Finishes Second

Seneca finished second with a team score of 309. Kylie Bednar led the Seneca individual scores with a 79, followed by Nevaeh Nye at 111 and Cheyanne Brown at 119. Those three scores combined for the team total.

The six-team field also included Conneaut, Franklin and Rocky Grove.
