Erie County residents contributed more than $11 million to local nonprofit organizations during the 16th annual Erie Gives Day on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Preliminary results released by The Erie Community Foundation show $11,059,729 was raised through 37,442 donations from 11,298 donors supporting 546 participating organizations. The total is just below the $11,357,387 raised during Erie Gives in 2025.
The figures remain preliminary. The Erie Community Foundation said gifts made by check, IRA and stock are still being processed, with final results, including the distribution of the Erie Gives Bonus Bucks matching funds, expected in September.
Union City
Fourteen organizations listed under Union City received a combined $66,995 in online donations.
The preliminary totals were:
- First Global Methodist Church — $15,475
- Union City Volunteer Fire Department — $12,100
- Union City Public Library — $11,325
- Union City Community Foundation — $8,650
- Union City Historical Society — $4,780
- Safe Journey — $3,650
- UCASD Foundation — $2,525
- Union City Main Street Art Center — $2,085
- Union City Family Support Center — $1,775
- Lake Canadohta Historical Society — $1,600

Corry
The 27 organizations listed under Corry received a combined $273,044 in preliminary donations.
The totals were:

- Impact Corry — $16,625

Final totals could increase as additional gifts are processed, and participating organizations will also receive their share of the Bonus Bucks matching pool.
Crawford Gives begins
Attention now turns to Crawford County, where the seventh annual Crawford Gives campaign is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 15.
Crawford Gives is a 96-hour community giving event benefiting nonprofit organizations serving Crawford County and surrounding communities. The previous campaign, held in 2024, involved 179 organizations and raised more than $912,000 from 1,824 donors. (crawfordheritage.org)
As Erie Gives moves into the final stages of processing, local organizations throughout the region are once again benefiting from community members choosing to support the nonprofits working in their own communities.
