A 53-year-old Sugar Grove man is facing multiple felony charges following an investigation by the Warren County District Attorney’s Office into the alleged possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
William K. Young was charged Thursday with 12 felony counts, including possession and dissemination of child sexual abuse material, according to a Times Observer report. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Raymond Zydonik, who set bail at $250,000. Young was remanded to the Warren County Prison after failing to post bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 22.
According to court documents, the investigation was conducted by the Warren County District Attorney’s Web Response Against Traffickers and Harmers (WRATH) Unit. The case began after cyber tips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children led investigators to online accounts and electronic devices allegedly linked to Young. Authorities said search warrants and digital evidence identified Young as the user of multiple online accounts that investigators believe were used to possess and transmit files identified as child sexual abuse material.
The WRATH Unit, established in 2025, focuses on investigating internet crimes involving the exploitation of children and works with state and federal law enforcement partners, including the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
