Emergency crews were dispatched to the 11600 block of Route 97 at approximately 3 p.m. for a reported structure fire. When the first units arrived, they found one mobile home fully involved in flames.

Officials said no one was inside the home when the fire started, and no injuries were reported.

The intense heat from the fire also affected a nearby mobile home, melting sections of siding and causing exterior damage. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze before it spread further and caused major damage to the neighboring residence.

Gusty winds complicated firefighting efforts and increased the risk of the fire spreading.

Stancliff Volunteer Fire Department was assisted at the scene by firefighters from several departments including Kuhl Hose Company, Perry Highway Hose Company, Mill Village Volunteer Fire Department and Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department.

A Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
