Corry Woman Cited After Loose Dog Incident

CORRY — A Corry woman was cited after police responded to a report of a loose dog on Liberty Street earlier this month.

According to a news release from the Corry Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of Liberty Street at approximately 7:03 p.m. on June 10 for a report of a loose German Shepherd.

Police said officers were able to take custody of the dog and transport it to the city dog pound.

During the investigation, officers identified the dog’s owner as 41-year-old Amanda Ishman of Corry. Police said Ishman later contacted authorities and stated that the dog belonged to her.

The dog was subsequently released from the pound, and Ishman was charged with confinement of dog, according to the police report.
