The department announced that its new Sutphen Engine 104 was delivered Wednesday and will soon join the city’s emergency response fleet.

“CFD is very proud to announce the recent delivery of our new Sutphen fire engine, Engine 104,” the department said in a social media post. “This engine will serve our community and the surrounding areas for many years to come.”

Fire Chief Ryan Card previously updated Corry City Council on the truck’s pending arrival.

“It’s all lettered and shined up ready to roll,” Card said during the meeting.

While the engine has arrived in Corry, it is not yet in active service. Chief Card said firefighters still need to install equipment and complete final preparations before the apparatus can respond to emergency calls. The department expects Engine 104 to be placed into service within the next few weeks.

Residents won’t have to wait long to get a first look at the new truck. Engine 104 is expected to make its public debut during the CorryFest Parade, which steps off at 11 a.m. Saturday in downtown Corry.

Funding for the purchase came through a partnership involving the Corry Fireman’s Relief Association, the City of Corry and the Corry Regional Community Foundation.
