College students interested in learning more about state government have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience through the Pennsylvania House Legislative Fellowship Program, which is now accepting applications for the fall 2026 semester.
The fellowship places students at the Pennsylvania Capitol in Harrisburg, where they are assigned to work with House standing committees or leadership offices. Participants are compensated for their work and may also be eligible to receive college credit.
In addition to their assignments, fellows have opportunities to draft and present legislation, meet with public officials and staff, and participate in educational tours of historic sites throughout the Commonwealth.
Eligible applicants include undergraduate juniors and seniors, graduate students, and law school students who are either enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university or are Pennsylvania residents attending an out-of-state institution. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and may be pursuing any field of study.
Applications for the fall 2026 semester are due by July 1.
