The Edinboro Lake Lantern Festival will be held on Saturday, June 6, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Pat Crawford Beach in Edinboro.
The family-oriented event will feature the release of floating lanterns on Edinboro Lake. Participants will have the opportunity to personalize lanterns with messages, memories, goals, and words of encouragement before taking part in the evening lantern launch.
Activities throughout the event will include music by DJ Nate Fralick, food trucks, face painting, lantern decorating, painted rock activities, sidewalk chalk art, bubbles on the beach, and other family-friendly attractions.
Several local food vendors will be on site offering a variety of food and refreshments. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the evening along the lakeshore.
Organizers say the event is intended to provide a positive community gathering while supporting a local cause. Proceeds from lantern sales will benefit the Edinboro Food Pantry.
The festival is open to the public and will take place at Pat Crawford Beach on Edinboro Lake.
