A Corry man is facing multiple felony charges following an undercover investigation conducted by Warren City Police.
According to court records, Delbert Irvine Liller III, 36, was arrested May 27 and charged with unlawful contact with a minor related to sexual offenses, unlawful contact with a minor involving open lewdness, criminal use of a communication facility, and corruption of minors.
UC Today obtained the criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause filed in the case. According to the affidavit, investigators allege Liller initiated contact through Facebook Messenger with an account operated by law enforcement in an undercover capacity. Police allege the account was presented as belonging to a 15-year-old female.
Court documents allege that during the exchange, Liller engaged in conversations of a sexual nature and later arranged to meet the person in Warren.
According to the affidavit, officers conducting surveillance observed Liller in the area of East Street and Fourth Avenue on May 27, where police allege a meeting had been planned. Investigators also allege Liller sent a photograph of his location and indicated he was waiting.
Court records show Liller was arraigned May 27 before Magisterial District Judge Laura Bauer. Bail was set at $50,000 monetary bail. Online court records indicate he was unable to post bail and remains lodged in Warren County Prison.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 10.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
