State Police Investigating Stolen Vehicle in Wayne Township

The Pennsylvania State Police in Corry are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle reported earlier this month in Wayne Township.

According to a public information release, troopers from the Corry patrol unit received a walk-in complaint on March 13 at approximately 1:20 p.m. regarding a stolen vehicle along Hare Creek Road. The vehicle was described as a red 2001 Volkswagen Beetle.

Authorities say the vehicle was recovered the following day, March 14, by the Erie Police Department.

State police report that a 58-year-old man from Erie has been identified as a suspect. The victim is a 67-year-old man from Corry.

The investigation remains ongoing. As with all cases, the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
