According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the $18.4 million project will resurface approximately 5.2 miles of I-90 through McKean and Summit townships. The work will stretch from mile marker 18 near the Route 832 interchange in McKean Township to mile marker 23 just west of the Route 19 exit in Summit Township.

The project includes milling, paving, and concrete patching, along with updates to guide rails, roadway markings, and signage.

Construction is scheduled to begin April 6, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed by November 2026.

Motorists should expect lane restrictions and traffic pattern shifts during nighttime hours, with work taking place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday. No restrictions are anticipated from Friday morning through Sunday evening. PennDOT advises drivers to plan for possible travel delays during active construction periods.

Additional intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions may occur during various phases of the project.

The work is being performed by Lindy Paving of New Galilee, Pennsylvania. The project is fully funded through federal dollars.
