After falling behind 1–0, Erie responded quickly. Ulysses Lombardi scored his first OHL goal on the power play to tie it, and just nine seconds later Kayden Edwards gave Erie the lead. Edwards added another later in the period as the Otters surged ahead 3–1 after one.

Erie stayed in control in the second. Luc Plante netted the game-winner, while Andrew Kuzma scored twice — including a power-play marker — and former Attack forward Michael Dec added a goal against his old club. Owen Sound trimmed the deficit to 6–3 late in the second, but Erie put it away in the third with another Kuzma power-play goal and a man-advantage tally from Jackson Schouten.

The Otters finished with a season-high eight goals, four on the power play, and 13 different players recorded at least one point. Erie outshot Owen Sound 42–31 in the victory.

The Otters hit the road Friday in Brantford before returning home Saturday to host Flint on Torch the Stigma – Olympic Night.
