The Union City Lady Bears were back on the basketball court on Monday night as they traveled to Eisenhower to take on the Lady Knights in region action.
It was a battle right from the opening tip as both teams traded the lead and kept the game close throughout the first half. The score was tied at thirteen after one quarter of play and tied at twenty-three at halftime.
The Lady Bears would come out of the half and take the lead, outscoring the Knights 12-9 to lead 35-32 going into the fourth quarter.
The Lady Bears would widen their lead in the fourth quarter and would never look back as they would go on to defeat the Knights 49-41 to earn their third straight win. The win improves the Lady Bears to 11-10 (6-7) on the season, while the Lady Knights fall to 12-8 (7-6).
The Lady Bears will return to action on Thursday night for their final game of the regular season as they travel to Girard to take on the Lady Yellowjackets in a region game.
