The Union City Lady Bears were back in the Bears Den on a cold Saturday morning as they played host to the Iroquois Lady Braves in a region game.
Brooke VanTassel would put the first points on the board as she would score the first four points of the game. The Lady Bears would take a 12-0 lead before Riley Coblentz would score the first points for the Braves. The Bears would lead 14-2 after one quarter of play.
The second quarter was much like the first as the Lady Bears would dominate, outscoring the Braves 17-5 to go into the half with a 31-7 lead.
The third quarter was more even as the Lady Bears would put in their younger players for some playing time. The Bears would outscore the Braves 7-6 in the third to go into the final quarter leading 38-13.
The Lady Bears would outscore the Braves 8-2 in the fourth and would go on to win the game 46-15 to earn their second straight win. The win improves the Lady Bears to 8-6 (4-4) on the season while the Lady Braves fall to 1-14 (0-8).
The Lady Bears will be back in action on Monday night as they travel to Northwestern to take on the Lady Wildcats in another region game.
