Charges have been filed against a current inmate at SCI Forest accused of plotting a violent home-invasion robbery at his mother’s residence. Authorities say 28-year-old Keegan Baker of Erie solicited another inmate to arrange the crime using contacts outside the prison. Investigators allege Baker sought to steal $68,000 and ordered that his mother and stepfather be tied up and tased. The other inmate did not carry out the plan and instead alerted prison staff, prompting a joint investigation by the Attorney General’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police. Baker now faces multiple charges, including solicitation for kidnapping, robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, and theft. Attorney General Dave Sunday called the alleged conduct shocking and credited investigators for stopping the plan before anyone was harmed.
